IndonesiaCharcoal
The company

A factory, not a trading desk

We produce what we sell. Carbonization, pressing, drying, testing, and packing happen on our own lines, which is why the spec on the CoA matches the spec in the box.

History

Fifteen years of the same product, done properly

IndonesiaCharcoal started in 2010 with drum carbonization of coconut shell for the domestic market. Export began with BBQ briquettes, then shisha cubes as Middle East demand for consistent white-ash charcoal grew.

The plant now runs separate lines for cubes, hexagons, pillow briquettes, and lump, with an in-house burn lab between pressing and packing. Batches that miss fixed carbon, ash, or moisture targets do not ship. They are reground into the industrial fines line.

The customer list is deliberately short: distributors, hookah brands, retail chains, and food service groups that reorder on schedule. Most volume runs on annual container programmes with fixed specs and pricing reviews.

Operating standards

What buyers can hold us to

Four commitments, all checkable against paper.

  • Batch consistency

Fixed carbon, ash, and moisture are measured per batch, not per shipment. The CoA quotes the numbers of the batches actually loaded.

  • Independent verification

SGS or Sucofindo pre-shipment inspection on request, at cost. We book it; you receive the report before the vessel sails.

  • Honest capacity

We commit to volumes the lines can hold across wet season and Ramadan schedules. If a slot is not available, we say so before contract.

  • Direct answers

Quotes carry price, lead time, and payment terms in one message. Questions about failed targets or delays get the real cause, in writing.

FAQ

Common questions

MOQs, samples, testing, payment, and shipping in plain terms.

What is the minimum order quantity?

One 20 ft container, about 18 t depending on product and packaging. We do not ship LCL or pallet quantities; mixed-product containers are fine for trials.

Can I get samples before ordering?

Yes. Samples of up to three products ship by courier within a week; you pay freight only. Sample batches carry the same batch record as production stock.

What is the production lead time?

Three to four weeks from deposit to loading for standard products, five to six for OEM packaging. Peak season slots (Q3 to Q4) should be booked a quarter ahead.

What payment terms do you accept?

30% deposit at order, 70% against shipping documents. Irrevocable LC at sight is accepted for programme contracts. No open account on first orders.

How do I know the spec is real?

Every batch is lab-tested in-house and the container CoA quotes the loaded batches. On request we book SGS, Sucofindo, or Carsurin pre-shipment inspection and factory audit at cost, with MSDS and the self-heating test report issued before the vessel sails.

What packaging options exist?

Inner boxes (1 kg), master cartons, kraft bags (10 to 15 kg), woven PP bags (15 to 25 kg), and 1 t jumbo bags. Printed OEM packaging from 200 cartons or 500 bags per design.

Do you produce under private label?

Yes, OEM is most of our shisha volume. Your artwork on boxes, cartons, and bags above design minimums, with mixed containers available for range launches.

Which Incoterms and ports do you ship on?

FOB Jakarta (Tanjung Priok) or Semarang as standard, CIF or CFR to major ports on request, EXW for buyers with their own forwarders. Each booking includes MSDS and the non-self-heating test report carriers require under IMDG Class 4.2.
