Services

What the factory does beyond pressing charcoal

Five services that turn a product quote into a running supply line.

Most of our volume ships under some combination of the services below. They are not add-ons with separate price lists; they are how container programmes are built. Each one is quoted inside your RFQ when relevant.

Your brand on our production: inner boxes, master cartons, and retail bags printed to your artwork, with mixed-product containers for range launches.

Custom specifications

Adjusted sizing, granulometry, moisture targets, or packaging counts against a written spec agreed before the production slot is booked.

  • Size and shape within existing press tooling; custom tooling quoted on volume.
  • Custom sieve bands for fines, for example 3 to 6 mm.
  • Spec sheet signed by both sides before deposit; it becomes the CoA reference.

Third-party lab verification

SGS, Sucofindo, or Carsurin booked at cost for pre-shipment inspection, factory audit, and batch CoA, with sampling at the factory and the report issued to you before the vessel sails.

  • Fixed carbon, ash, moisture, volatile matter, calorific value, and sizing.
  • Factory audit (FA) reports accepted by major carriers when booked through SGS, Intertek, or Carsurin.
  • Inspection slot booked at order confirmation to avoid loading delays.
  • Passed through at invoice cost, no handling margin.

Export documentation

The full charcoal document set prepared per container: commercial, origin, safety, MSDS, self-heating test evidence, and carrier-required factory audit support when requested.

  • Invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, batch CoA, MSDS.
  • Non-self-heating test report per IMO IMDG Class 4.2 stowage rules for UN 1361 charcoal.
  • Factory audit summary and vanning certificate arranged when the buyer or carrier requires FA evidence.
  • Destination-specific certificates arranged when the RFQ names the port.

Annual container programmes

Reserved monthly or quarterly production slots with fixed specs and scheduled pricing reviews, for buyers who need supply certainty over spot buying.

  • Volume commitment per quarter, call-off per month, spec frozen for the term.
  • Price held per term with a documented review mechanism.
  • Programme buyers take scheduling priority in peak season.

How it works

How long does a private-label launch take?

From approved artwork: print proofs in one week, packaging production in two to three, filled and loaded in week four to five. A first OEM container is realistic six weeks after design sign-off, faster with neutral packaging.

What does third-party inspection actually cover?

The surveyor samples from the packed lot at the factory, splits samples for the lab, and witnesses container stuffing on request. You receive the analysis report and stuffing photos before shipment, tied to the container number.

Why does charcoal need extra shipping documents?

Carriers class coconut charcoal as potentially self-heating cargo under IMO IMDG Class 4.2. Bookings need a recent non-self-heating test report, correct MSDS, and sometimes factory audit evidence, or the container is refused at the terminal. We keep MSDS and SHT current so bookings clear without surprises.

When does a buyer need a factory audit report?

Programme buyers and some carriers ask for a factory audit (FA) before the first booking, especially for shisha charcoal to the Middle East and Europe. We arrange FA through SGS, Intertek, or Carsurin at cost, separate from the batch CoA, so the audit file can be reused across containers in the same programme term.

When does a programme beat spot buying?

Above roughly one container per quarter. Programmes freeze the spec, hold pricing between reviews, and reserve production slots ahead of peak season, which is when spot buyers wait longest.

Service questions

Minimums, samples, payment, and shipping terms.

What is the minimum order quantity?

One 20 ft container, about 18 t depending on product and packaging. We do not ship LCL or pallet quantities; mixed-product containers are fine for trials.

Can I get samples before ordering?

Yes. Samples of up to three products ship by courier within a week; you pay freight only. Sample batches carry the same batch record as production stock.

What payment terms do you accept?

30% deposit at order, 70% against shipping documents. Irrevocable LC at sight is accepted for programme contracts. No open account on first orders.

Do you produce under private label?

Yes, OEM is most of our shisha volume. Your artwork on boxes, cartons, and bags above design minimums, with mixed containers available for range launches.

Which Incoterms and ports do you ship on?

FOB Jakarta (Tanjung Priok) or Semarang as standard, CIF or CFR to major ports on request, EXW for buyers with their own forwarders. Each booking includes MSDS and the non-self-heating test report carriers require under IMDG Class 4.2.
