Grilling briquettes pressed from nothing but cleaned coconut shell and tapioca binder: no coal dust, no borax, no accelerants. The flat block lies evenly in kettles, barrel grills, and restaurant charcoal ovens, lights in a chimney in around 7 minutes, and burns level for 150 to 200 minutes without sparking. F40 is the size for retail and home grilling; F50 is the bigger block for restaurants and long services.

F40 or F50?

The retail size is F40 (40 x 30 x 25 mm): it fills a chimney starter evenly, burns for 150 minutes, and suits 3 kg and 5 kg consumer bags. F50 (50 x 40 x 25 mm) carries more mass per piece and burns for 200 minutes, which is why restaurants and caterers load it into charcoal ovens and long-service grills from 10 kg and 20 kg bags.

Grilling performance

With 80% fixed carbon and 7,500 kcal/kg, the blocks hold a cooking temperature of around 650°C, and white ash at 1.9% maximum leaves little residue to clear between services. Pressed coconut shell has no resin pockets, so the blocks glow instead of sparking, and they relight easily if a session pauses.

Batch testing and documents

Before bagging, every batch is checked for fixed carbon, ash, moisture, and burn time, and the container CoA quotes the batches loaded. The MSDS and the non-self-heating test report that carriers require under IMDG Class 4.2 travel with each booking, and SGS or Sucofindo inspection can be arranged at cost.

Do coconut briquettes spark?

No. Pressed coconut shell has no resin pockets, so the blocks glow instead of sparking. Moisture is capped at 5% maximum, and that is what stops a retail bag from spitting when a customer lights it in a chimney.

How do they compare with wood or coal-dust briquettes?

More fixed carbon (80%, where mixed wood briquettes typically sit around 60%), far less ash (1.9% against 5% or more), and no coal dust, borax, or accelerant. They light slightly slower than instant-light products, then burn a good deal longer and cleaner.
